Applications should be submitted through the Western Cape Education Department's online admissions system.

  • Applications typically open in April/May for the following academic year
  • Apply early as spaces fill up quickly

Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Gates open: 7:00 AM for drop-off
  • School starts: 7:30 AM sharp
  • School ends: 2:00 PM
  • Gates close: 2:30 PM (all children must be collected by this time)
  • Please ensure your child arrives on time as late arrivals disrupt learning

We follow the South African CAPS (Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement) curriculum.
  • Foundation Phase (Grades R-3): Home Language, First Additional Language, Mathematics, Life Skills
  • Intermediate Phase (Grades 4-6): Languages, Mathematics, Natural Sciences & Technology, Social Sciences, Economic & Management Sciences, Life Orientation, Arts and Culture
  • Quality education aligned with national standards
  • Focus on developing strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and life skills

We offer 7 different sports that promote teamwork, discipline, and school pride:
  • Rugby - Building strength and strategy
  • Netball - Developing coordination and teamwork
  • Cricket - Former pupils include Justin Ontong and Charl Langeveldt (SA A Cricket team)
  • Athletics - Annual sports day and competitions
  • Basketball - Modern court facilities available
  • Chess - Mental strategy and concentration
  • Hockey - Traditional team sport

New Orleans Primary School is a government school with no compulsory fees.
  • No compulsory school fees - education is free
  • Voluntary contributions may be requested by the School Governing Body
  • Contributions support additional educational programs, facilities maintenance, and extracurricular activities
  • No child will be excluded for non-payment of voluntary contributions
  • All contributions go directly towards enhancing your child's educational experience

Our school colors are Bottle Green, Grey, and White.

  • School jersey/sweater for cooler weather
  • Black school shoes - comfortable and appropriate
